"Hae Oute?" She repeated. It felt a little like playing Marco Polo she thought laughing darkly to herself.
Lillian had no idea what would happen here in this strange world. She was beginning to think this man didn't exist and she was going crazy. Maybe she would be lost in the fog forever. She turned her head toward the voice. It kept getting closer. She shook the negative thoughts off. This wasn't the time, once this mystery man found her they could get out of the mist together.

"Hae Oute?"He says again as his figure begins to emerge from the fog, Lilians figure was hidden by the trees imposing shadow.
Ulket gives a small grunt holding his arm, unknown to him signs of infection had set in and festering redness had appeared around the wound.

She peered at him from behind the tree. Lillian blinked a couple times, he was bigger and taller than she'd thought he'd be.
"Hae Oute." She said, stepping toward him.

As he got closer he blinked a little himself, the blue suit was unlike any cloth he'd ever seen. Her hair was lighter than his, her eyes though hard to tell where the same color as the fire spring waters.
"Oute Masonae?"Ulket says holding his hand out gesturing to her implying it was her name.

"Huh?... No.. no no." She waved her arms out in front of her with a confused smile.
"Lillian Bellmont." She said gesturing to herself by patting her chest. Then she pointed to him. "Your name?"

Ulket pointed to himself, then patted his chest.
"Ulket.."He says slowly.
"L...Leelian"He says gesturing back to her, the word was new and obviously felt forgien to him by the reluctance of his lips to form some of the sylables a classic sign of learning an unfamiliar language.

"Lilly-an." She said, pronouncing it carefully, placing more emphasis on the first part than the second.
"Ulket." She repeated. So that's what he had been trying to tell her. His name was Ulket. She tried to copy the way he said it. She wasn't sure if she pronounced it right.

He was obviously thinking over the word.
"Lili-an"He says carefully, then gestures her with a nod to confirm this was right. He then repeats his name and places his hand on his chest. Introductions it seems, where harder when neither party understood the others language. Thefog around them had seemed the thin higher up and they could see the tower of fog dispersing into the sky.

She nodded and smiled nervously. "Ulket." She patted him on the shoulder.
"How do we get out?" She asked waving her arm, out at the mist.

"Do'ta."He says gesturing to the fog, as if showing her 'this is do'ta'
"Do'ta desunda"He says holding his hand out flat and then lowering it a little.
A quick warble erupts from the fog before dieing down.

She looked around at the "do'ta" and frowned.
"Do'ta... Lillian and Ulket, in the do'ta." She confirmed hoping he would hear the how her tone was unhappy.

Ulket nods.
"Ulket ah Lillian igoma da do'ta."He waves his spear over his head signifying the fog around them. "Do'ta desunda. Ulket ah Lillian uda da canoa acquana."He says gestureing to that the fog with lower and they would travel towards a series of ridges that where just appearing over the fog banks.

She barely understood what he was getting at. As he gestured toward the ridges appearing over the fog banks she felt a glimmer of hope.
"Do'ta desunda ... ah uda da canoa acquana?" She said trying to fit the two phrases together. Mist... lower... something something was all she was getting from the conversation. Normally as a translator she was not used to miscommunication, and if they were they probably weren't a very good translator.

The fog lowers more and they begin to see animals moving inside. Ulket looked slightly worried, he'd been here many times and seen what he believed to be every type of animal that lived here. Many where harmless, but like all ecosystems predators existed, smaller beasts of malice.
"Uda."He says quickly nudging her in the direction of the ridges. "Uda." This gave a clearer definition of the word 'uda' obviously ment to 'move' or 'walk'.

"Oh, right... uda... walk. Got it." She began to walk towards the ridges, not missing the gentle movement or sounds of little critters running around in the mist.
