Devon was aprehensive, if he had skin he'd be sweating bullets there was one thing he was thankfull for though. That was that Animus technicaly didn't 'eat', they simply had small ports to which a canister of energy was connected. While all of it was energy, energy acheived through different means 'tasted' different from one another solar energy tasting different from energy produced in a power plant and so on. And thankfully the price varried little between the energy 'tastes'. But because of the taste private business's could be set up much like alcohol, or soda industries to provide different products.
"Well what do you fell like?"Devon asks.

"Here!" She announced suddenly dragging him off into a cozy little 'restaurant' for animus, modeled to look like a tea house. They used a lot of solar energy here, but the price was reasonable. She hoped he wouldn't minded the small space, there weren't many animus there so they were able to get a table for two near the window.
Little lace doilies sat underneath an unlit candle at the dark wood table. "Hows this?"

"Great"He says his eyes again showing happyness as well as his upbeat electronic voice.
Devon pulls out her chair before setting down himself
'Oh so corny!'A small voice smarts off inside his head 'I think it's nice to know shivalry isn't completly dead......not to mention it's simle curosy....something you'd never understand'
Shaking the tiny voice from his mind he looks over the table.
"So...what do you do?"He asks feeling a obligation to start the conversation.

Her smile waned a little bit. "I'm... a secretary." She said folding her hands on the table. "Not very exciting, just answering phones and filing papers."
Her gold painted eyes swerved upwards to examine him. "And what do you do?" She asked kindly.

"Me? I'm....."He couldn't decide if he should answer honestly or not.
After some mental sweating he decided to just get it over with.
"I'm a manual sanatation worker for the scrap metal piles in the lower levels."He says with a heavy sigh.

"Oooh, that sounds interesting." She said, rubbing the back of her neck with an awkward laugh. He seemed a embarassed. She smiled kindly patting his hand.
"We work where what we can." She said. "Your lucky, your job at least sounds less monotonous than mine."

"You'd be suprised, catologing metal scraps, putting them in carts, and sending them back to the factories....day in...day out..."He says in a dulled manner.

"Ah." She waved her hand in a dismissing manner. "I catalog files, answer the phone and make coffee... day in and day out."
"It's not all its cracked up to be either." She said.
A woman dressed as a waitress showed up at their table. "Can I get you a canister?" She asked, somewhat unenthusiastically.
"Yes, please." She said.

"I don't know about that." She laughed. The waitress brought two canisters to the table and left the two alone again.

"What I like my work, to some extent, it only demands what I'm good at and well I don't have to deal with people....very often." He eyes the canister. "Now you have to deal with people everyday, over the phone, and I'm sure they come into your office needing something.....that would drive me insane." His eyes gave the sense of a smile again.

"Haha, you'd be surprised how few people call such a small office." She said. "Usually the only people I see are the stiffs I work with."
She rested her head in the palm of her hand and gave him a wink. "Your right, it does drive me crazy sometimes though."

"It must feel good to be able to get out and mingle every now and again..." He give her a wink in return. "High labor job like mine don't realy give much free time. I get the Saturday evenings like this one to myself and Sundays of corse but then Monday its back to work for the week again."
"So do you do anything else besides secretary work?" Devon asks.

"Well... I read. I suppose that's not very interesting though." She said, knowing that if she could blush she would be now.
She picked up the canister and attached it to the nape of her neck, pushing the collar of her dress down. "How do you spend your free time?" She asked. "Aside from inviting ladies to lunch."

"What? Oh no, no, no. I mean I'm a bit of a inventor, but I usualy don't do this sort of thing." He says looking at the canister. "Don't get me wrong it's nice though."
The nerviousness was practicaly audible in his voice.
