Ah so I see you've started yet another dismal day in your mortal life. You've heard of ouija boards, witchcraft, black magic rituals all of which invite ...thing... into our plane of existence. Well many of us overlook a simple aspect that allows these beings in, a curse as old as the foundations of time, and the world. At the dawn of every new era the grand king of the Underworld steps down from his throne and one of his leniage may assend. Being far reaching though he has quiete a few heirs, this led to massive battles, armies of demons fighting each other so their masters may take the thrown. So the Celestial powers wrote a charter proclaiming that on the occasion of the Netherworld kings succesion all his heirs may fight for it, but through mediums, no longer will they have commands over their armies to aid them.
Now after a little history bring us back to you mortal. Through this ritual mediums are chosen at random and sent a letter spampled in crimson wax the emblem of the netherworld king himself. Opening this letter is the first part to accepting the right of being a medium, the second is the signature of blood apon the dotted line of the parchment. At anytime before the signing this parchment may be transactioned to another willing individual, but after the signing this parchment will dissapeare in a burst of flame and the now medium will there after be visited by their bond demons companion.
Medium rules - The medium is bond to there demon but not to their will. Through the accepting of this contract the medium is granted the ability to see, hear, and intract with supernatural beings. The medium may ask the demon for services or assistance, the demon is not entirly inclined to fullfill these requests however. The medium and the demon are bond by their general life forces, the medium will not succumb the illness, minor wounds, or any other minor ailment, death should only occure if the medium should come under a extended period(s) of violent, traumatic, extreame, bodily or spiritual harm. Death of the medium bars the demon from taking the throne, the energy expended on the mediums gifts and abilites as well as the energy lost from the medium being injured to the point of death shall not be returned.
Demon rules - Demons are unabble to act directly on any other human besides their medium, they may however act on inanimate objects much like a poltergeist. The demon may grant gifts and abilities onto their medium but only at a price, this price and payment is established by the demons as it is their own power from which they do this. Apon the mediums willing the demon might possess them to allow them to perform tasks beyond normal human messure. The demon may not requesition any of its netherworld servants present in the nertherworld or otherwise to aid it.
(This is a co-opperative rp, the demons cannot exist without their mediums and the mediums stand no chance in this race without their demon.)
