"Searching....." The automoton says continueing through the towers. The screen of the computer flickers again as the towers spark. The metalic walls shine with the light of the sparks before you here a soft whisper creep past your ear followed by a cold chill giving you the sense that something yet to reveal itself had entered the room, the ceiling lights dim slightly one at a time as if a area of dim light was moving acrost the ceiling overhead.
"Thermal scan ending, area secure....resuming patrol..."
The chill to the air seemed to grow colder as you barely see the machines head pass a corner then turn right around heading the opposite direction as it speaks.

She continued to move, quietly now, toward this super computer screen. Eventually she managed to slip inside the passage at the far end of the room.

To the right of the computer screen was a heavily barred door, the keypad flickering red, it front covering slightly ajar, tool marks along its rim. To the left of the screen and its terminal was a door composed mostly of fogged glass, the light above it well lit, you can even see the dim lights coming through the glass from the other side.
The sounds of the large robot echo slight as it turns around and begins moving through the towers again. the soft whisper passes by you again yet still leaving nothing to be seen of its source. The computer gave quite a few options to the not so techno savy amung us. security logs, security videos, maitancence logs, medical logs, captains logs. These where the most recently active programs. A cold chill runs along your arms as the rims of the computer screens display go static for just a momment.

She opened the captains logs, quickly typing and looking around at the same time. Stella wasn't sure what she was looking.

The first hundred and twenty six logs read boring titles such as personaly diary and mission reports. The twelve after that got intesting, however only three of them are without corruption hiding their data partialy or completly. ----------------------- LOG 127 Captains Logs- The artifact we've brought aboard activated itself last night at 03:00 hours, standard terrain time, in research and development lab seven. Dr. Jossol has become enamored with the object and refuses to continue work on our other project disspite my reminding him that the TSF (Terrain Shipping Fedaration) our pressing us for our design on the prototype concentrated plasma weaponry.
LOG 130 -------------- Despite our best efforts we've been unable to coax Dr. Jossol, and the few of his collueges to leave the damned lab, and that artifact. A wave of sickness has come over the lower decks, the doctors tell me that so far they've found no signs of bacterial or viral infections in any of the subjects tissues. Their brains however are overloaded with nuerostimulation chemicals.....they suspect a drug overdose.
LOG 136 ---------------------- Captains Log- Those affected by the artifact are beyond our help now, screaming, striking out at staff, becoming more violent by the day. I've sent the ship into lockdown, ordered security to full alert and stepped down from my possition as captain for I feel the affects coming over me as well, I've plotted a course to a large nebula, hopefully its storms will destroy whatever we've brought aboard.
LOG 138 ---------- Captains Log _____ Hayyagshagoth
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The computer ends the list of log entries, waiting for your next command. The edges of the screen goes static again as the lights beyond the door to your left flicker for a second.

Her eyes flicked between the door and the screen. She glanced back out into the hallway.
The cursor of the computer fell on medical files. She clicked on it. This time she knew just the date to skip to. Before the files fully loaded she glanced at the flickering light emitted from the door on the left. Curiosity got the better of her and she started to move.
Stella tasted the sharp edge of danger in the air, it was palpable on her lips, but her body seemed relaxed. The ethereal quality in the way she held herself made her just about disappear. She was so still, but when she moved it was cautious, like a leopard stalking prey - one slow step at a time. She walked over to the door on the left, waiting for the light to flicker again.

The medical files flash on the screen as it turns completly to static, before clicking off. The fogged glass doors open slowly, and as they do the light seems to steady itself. The whisper creeps by again this time slightly audible sounding like the word 'Go...'.
The hall wasn't long, only about a yard, the room beyond it however seemed to by offices, desks lined the walls, chairs, miscilanious items on the lining the ground, and the body of a man in a white lab coat as far as it could see, the lighting gave away that there was more of the room to be explored. The clanking of the mechanical sentry behind you stops suddenly before declaring. "Authorization recognized, welcome sir....."
The cold chill rushes by you quickly into the hallway leading to the room, and you notice the coat of the dead man shutter shortly after that.

She pressed herself up against the wall. "Sir...?" She hissed, looking around. She glared at the body, it looked dead but looks could be deceiving. She grabbed the hilt of the serrated knife strapped to her thigh. She crouched and paced toward him. Unless the body was a distraction. She froze. That's when the body shuttered.
Stella still wasn't exactly sure what this new spell did but she decided to try it again. "Farro." She muttered.

A small trail of white fog traces from your body along the floor to the dead mans coat pocket, aside from a small set of indintations from something small and rectangular you see the rim of something resebling a hand. The rest of the room mirrored what had already been seen, two more motionless bodies.
You notice the fog creeping further along the ghostly arm, to the shoulder, forming a a broad chest, thick neck, humanoid face, and a flowing mess of fog for hair. The ghostly figure looked from its hands up its body and then finaly towards you stepping back slightly, suprised that it could be seen. It holds up its hands as if asking you to wait. The fogged glass door closes softly behind you.

She pulled the dagger from its sheath and held it in front of her defensively. "Who are you?" She asked.

The ghostly figure looks around before setting its gaze to the body on the floor. With quick panicy movemtns it leaps at the body sinking into it. The body jumps as if shaken by the ghostly intruder before its arms and legs splay out as it rises to its hands and knees coughing.
"Wait please...I'm here...to help you." The possessed body say holding up its hand, its coughing getting louder as small flakes of ash puff from its lungs. "I...don't have long....this body won't hold..."
The possessed begins to stand his eyes overtaken by a glowing orange light, small veins of red and orange scatering throughout its form, these too eminated ash from them. He held his midsection and stood with a hunched and it was at once obvious to see what had been this bodies cause of death, huge cuts, blackened crushing wounds, and multiple stabs littered it each seeping with finite ash.

She looked horrified, her tail was stiff and straight while her eyes narrowed. "What are you? What's going on?" She asked.

I...I don't know what I am exaclty. But I know what's going on....and how you can get off of this ship...." He coughs ash into the air.
"It wants you to open the gate and release it's masters, because you are the only one here uneffecteed by the gates madness....so it has set a trap for you....it's locked the bay door to your ship through a terminal in the lab knowing you want to leave." It coughs again as the orange veins thicken.
"Deactivate the terminal, and you can get back to your ship..." Its breath started to become more gasping.

She was about to step back towards the door. Then a new thought crossed her mind. She grimaced. She continued to back away from him. Then hesitated again. There was a lump in her throat, a sick feeling in her stomach. "What about the others? What is this thing setting the trap?"
She placed the knife back in its sheath. "Who are these masters?"

"The others are gone....seeds madness waits to take hold of their mind....As for it.....it is a glove, a intrument to its masters will....they control it like a puppet from the void...." He begins to cough more, falling to his knees.
