"Then me and your ancestors are not so different in our mutual paths."Hazens says drinking his tea with a aura of quiet serenety.
"We are both after the final and greatest medium in which the craft our arts, and both of our mediums will be our end."He says before another quiet drink.

"It's true, in his passionate pursuing of his art he did not stop to contemplate what might come of his actions. His final medium was the flesh - to create a human, no something better than a human, a perfect being. But there can be no perfection without fault so while he did manage to personify all that is good, he also incarnated vice in the flesh as its partner - its equal." She said her eyes dark, and her voice distant. She always seemed to be somewhere else but it wasn't a airy or easy quality, it was like she was constanty lost in her own thoughts distracted by a dark muse that brought both genius and brooding to her eyes.
Akiva felt this as she watched Izumi speak, noticing her gaze they met eyes for a moment before Akiva turned away embarrassed that she was caught staring. The atmosphere of the room felt heavy to her like they had been just handed knowledge that was not meant to be spoken of.
"I still don't understand why you decided to name your rebellion after him." She said.
"His responsibility has been passed down through the generations, it is my responsibility to destroy what he created." She said.
"So you think they still exist? After all these years?" She asked.
Izumi nodded. "I know they do."

"Hmmmm"Hazen says his eyes deepening with thought.
"And how do you come by this knowledge?"He asks just a gracfully as he would anything else seeming to shake the gravity of the subject from his words effortlessly.

“All my great, great, great… my grandfather Hisdet’s records were burned. Except for one journal, the one that has been passed down for generations.” She glanced at her bag, as she folded her hands in her lap. “They can’t kill each other, and as the legend say’s Zorian killed Aliyah. But afterward nobody knows what happened to him.”
“Wait, they have names?” She asked.
Izumi nodded and continued. “He was trapped in a coma, in a near death like state. Hisdet believed that he would perish soon but Zorian sucked away his life like a leech, killing him.” She stood up suddenly. “You’ve seen the Emperor’s seal. A golden five-clawed dragon, a sun, an upside-down triangle.” She felt her pockets and pulled out a piece of paper covered in numbers and symbols and letters. Akiva only caught a small glance at all the confusing gibberish before she flipped it over. It was a wanted poster, for Izumi, with the official seal stamped on the bottom right corner. “Look at it carefully. The dragon is the symbol of the emperor, but the sun one of the symbols for fire. And the triangle is the alchemic symbol for earth. Those are the elements of Zorian.”
“And you think that the emperor is a dihumanus created who knows how long ago-”
“About 575 years ago. And yes.”
“Based on a seal?” She asked taking a sip of tea.
“The seal is the simplest example.” She said. “Or I could point out that 500 years is quite a long time for a human to live.”
Akiva paused. She had a point. Funny she had never thought of that before. She had never questioned any of it. “Well…”
“The question is where is his fellow dihumanis. How did he escape his coma? I believe that she took over a new body. Inside a mother she found refuge in a weak fetus, which allowed him to reawaken as well.”
“So she was reborn?” She asked.
Izumi frowned. “More like she stole a life that wasn’t hers to take.”

Hazen followed closly to what was being said.
"A crown makes a king, a lash makes his servants, servants his kingdom, and a kingdom his crown, nothing need make his humanity."
He dranks his tea and set the cup down breathing.

Akiva turned to him confused. "What?" She laughed, crossing her ankles. "Why can't you all speak plainly."
Izumi looked at her apologetically. "I didn't realize I wasn't."

"Why does it suprise you that a ruler is inhuman? Throughout history rulers has set themselves above their people and made to seem etheral. It's a possability that he's useing this legend and its fascade to gain a sort of spiritual and mental clout over people, for their symbols alone have been drilled into these people minds and instill emotions and thoughts without him having to raise a finger....or what our host has said may be indeed true..."
Hazon looked relaxed, but there was something that he wasn't quite letting go with his words and more with a invisable aura, a feeling of longing or want.

“I served in the Navy. I fought in the Bloodbath of Ossedor, in the last true island nation of Odessa in the West Ocean. We had been fighting for years unable to take the capitol and finally the Emperor himself decided to take over the battle. He completely razzed the whole city single handedly, killing even his own men. No one made it out alive. He made earth split and erupt with magma, and there were flames higher than a church steeple. No one has that kind of power.”
“You were in the Navy?”
“For a short while, I deserted after that.” She pulled a worn leather book from her bag and the worn out spine flipped immediately to the most read page. The it was spotted with scribblings in ink.
Akiva leaned down to read it.
He killed the whole village in cold blood. He called it justice for their human evils. He has no right to act as a god. I was in tears when I saw the unrecognizable remains. She too felt pain in her heart. He summoned great pillars of flame, I had never seen such fire even from a chimera. The ground below my feet trembled and I was a good distance away. ‘My god’ I thought ‘he’s a monster’. And indeed when I saw the damage I whept for the poor souls while he picked his teeth with a charred black bone. He had so many wounds he should be long dead. I see in his eyes he feel no regret for what he’s done. The humans to him are like pigs to the farmer, he slaughters them and then eats their flesh. She cooled the magma he had summoned to stop its spreading any further. The smoke was so bad I had to be carried away from the site. Their rival faction rejoiced and praised his evil deed and payed me a hefty sum. I feel it weigh heavy against my brest. How can I accept this payment for murder? What have I done? What was I thinking? I have created something so foul I will surely go to hell.
"I can see the parallels..." She said quietly.

As hazen looked over the pages his mind snaps open a frame in time prior shoving the images of past back into his mind. ------------------ A boy maybe of the age of twelve, sat in his home fists clenched on his knees his anger cleer apon his face. At once the air in the room begins to quiver with a scorching heat, the wooden walls grow brown and splintered and soon begin to birth embers into the room. Flame quickly takes to the wall and the floor before the boy. In a fit of fright and shock the boy leaps up and grasps for the door, as soon as the door is cracked open the room behind the boy explodes with a fury and conflagurous violence enough to make hell shutter, the flame takes the hall, the rooms adjecent it, their living space, their kitchen, their pets, the boys parents, the boys siblings as well leaving he himself though untouched. The fire roars from the windows of the small home and streches up into the sky with thick black smoke swooping down and taking building after building, setting apon people in the streets, young and old alike. With no prejedice, no remourse, and no feelings of emotion the innanimate killer struck down all in the tiny village and with one last mighty roar to drive its power deep into the hearts of those neighboring towns it left the village to ashes, leaving the small boy to greave over the petrafied forms of his family and the villagers for the fire at set apon them so sudddenly and with such a heat that they had been rendered curious statues of a brittle stone. -----------------------
Hazens hand wouldn't stop shaking, no matter how much he begged of it. Quelling the sudden rush of emotion hes struggled to gain control of his now dissheveled expression before his host and Akiva noticed.

"It's getting late maybe we should get some sleep." She said quietly getting the sense that Hazen was troubled somehow. "This has all been so much to take in."
"My apologies. I tend to go heavy on the information sometimes." She stood picking up her materials from the table. "Come with me, I'll show you to your room."
The retraced their steps back down the hallway to the room they had first entered into. They took a new hallway, a fairly straight one with plenty of doors on each side. She opened up a door, with the number 15 etched into a small plaque.
"Get some sleep, if you need me I'm in 20." She kept going down the hall, turned a corner and disappeared. Akiva reached for the handle and pushed it open.
There were several bunks lined up against the walls. A bathroom, was in one corner hidden by a small divider. It looked like a military dorm.
"Are you okay?" She asked sitting down on one of the beds to pull off her sandals.

"Yes.....I just had a mommenetary laps of weakness."He says setting on the bunk opposite her placeing his bag and weapon on the ground.
"My past, I thought I had contain, threatens to disturb my life once again it seems."He says removing his jacket and laying it with his other things.

"Why are you trying to... contain it?" She asked, laying down to stare up at the ceiling.
She undid the top two buttons of her blouse and curled up under the blankets so she was peeking at him from under the covers.

"Because it's troubling, it's like that one adolescent and inconsolable ram that disturbs the whole flock to frenzy."
Hazen lays down, staring at the bunk above him.
"I don't wish to trouble you with it either."

"You don't have to tell me." She said, her eyes feeling heavy.
"If it matters at all, I don't think you should try to contain it. Just accept that it happened whatever it is, however painful and then you move forward." A few tears slid down her cheeks.
